Mandatory registration for real estate agents

Home/Mandatory registration for real estate agents

New legislation, which was already in force in the autonomous state of Catalonia, means that real estate agents must now, (as of October 2023) also register in the autonomous state of Valencia, (provinces of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia) in the newly created register of real estate agents:

Registro de Agentes de Intermediación Inmobiliaria de la Comunitat Valenciana, (RAICV).

CasaXero, (Ruud van Rooijen) is registered in this new register under number 1587

RAICV 1587 Ruud van Rooijen

This registration of real estate agents ensures that the practice of the profession of real estate agent is subject to rules. The purpose of the law is to protect buyers and tenants and promote transparency in the real estate market. This will hopefully separate the wheat from the chaff.

Here you will find a link to this register so that you can check who is registered and can therefore call themselves a registered agent: https://sforms.gva.es/sformssistemaexplotacion/servletObtenerXMLns/ObtenerXMLorig?formulario=62953&SF_SIS_ICP=1&ssl_redireccionado=true&idsesion=1667564555420

A large number of requirements must be met for this registration, including:

– demonstrable experience and competence

– have legal liability insurance

– have an insurance/bank guarantee that covers down payments

– have not been criminally convicted

etc.

Only agents who have a RAICV no. have been recognized.

Do you see an API number? then this indicates a broker is also registered with this professional organization.
